Fr. Corey grew up a stone throw away in the South Side of Lansing. He went to Lansing Everett High School and then journeyed to the Dutch westside of Holland to attend Hope College. There he graduated with a degree in Religion and a minor in Youth Ministry. After three years of intense discernment, Fr. Corey entered Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy as well as a Master's in Divinity. After graduating, he was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Lansing in June 2023. He has been faithfully serving the people of East Lansing since July 1st.

Since arriving at St. John Student Center, Fr. Corey has enjoyed making new friends after the Night Masses. He loves to talk to people and is willing to answer any question you might have. His favorite thing to do as a priest is to hear confessions. Stop by his office and say hello anytime!
